Commission Hero Website

Commission Hero (by Robby Blanchard) is a popular program in the world of affiliate marketing. It promises significant earnings through a mix of paid Facebook advertising and affiliate marketing strategies. Commission Hero’s claim to fame is their step-by-step system designed to help anyone, regardless of background, succeed in affiliate marketing.

Program Cost: $997 + Upsells + Ad Costs

At first glance, the course structure looks comprehensive. It includes modules on setting up Facebook ads, finding high-converting offers, and scaling campaigns.

The initial appeal is definitely strong for those looking to make money online quickly. However, there are potential pitfalls that might not be evident right away.

The cost of the program is on the higher end, which can be a deterrent. They can mount, as on top of the $1,000 front end product, there are masterminds and potential monthly “inner circle costs” that amount to closer to $300 per month.

For those just starting out or on a tight budget, this may not be the best option.

Additionally, while the idea of earning six figures sounds great, it’s essential to consider the risks and costs associated with paid advertising. It’s not as simple as setting up an ad and watching the money roll in, you have to have quite a bit of money to make money in the paid advertising world…I recommend at least an additional $1,000 to start to test ads). This costs can mount very fast (as shown below).

Anyways, let’s look into this a bit further and detail some ratings and break down different aspects of the platform.

Commission Here, How Does it Match Up?

Commission Hero has all the markings of a well-thought-out program, but how does it actually stack up? Here’s a closer look at the critical elements, broken down and rated out of 5.

Tools (Rating: 3/5)

The tools offered in Commission Hero are designed to streamline your advertising efforts. From ad templates to targeting guidelines, there are some toosl that you can use. However, the tools that are actually recommended often require additional paid subscriptions to fully utilize, which can certainly be a drawback.

Training (Rating: 3.5/5)

The training modules provided are detailed and comprehensive, covering everything from setting up your first campaign to optimizing your ads. The downside is that it heavily focuses on Facebook ads, which can be limiting if you don’t have a budget on top of the money that you are paying for this course (and potentially other upsells.

If you’re looking to diversify your advertising platforms, you might find the training somewhat restrictive.

Support (Rating: 3/5)

Support is a mixed bag. While there is access to a private Facebook group and some level of email support, the responsiveness and depth of assistance may not meet everyone’s expectations.

Here is some of the support rules from their Facebook Group.

Commission Here Support Facebook GroupsFor someone new to affiliate marketing, this could be a significant hurdle if you are needing a more direct level of support, or the ability to contact the owner privately if you need help.. ()

Community. (Rating: 2.5/5)

Interaction with other members is crucial for motivation and learning. Commission Hero does have a Facebook community, but it’s not as active or supportive as some of the other communities online. They average around 400 or so total posts per month from all community members, which is around 13 or so per day.

Cost ($997 one-time, plus upsells)

The cost is one of the more contentious aspects of Commission Hero. Beyond the initial enrolment fee ($997), expect additional costs for ad spend and other tools, along with upsells of a mastermind (high ticket) and an inner circle program ($297/mth).

There are several complaints on TrustPilot about the costs, here is one of them.

Commission Hero Review
For even an expert marketer and one with a budget, these costs can quickly start mounting with this program (between the product itself + upsell, and ad costs). (Rating: 2.5/5)

Overall, while Commission Hero does offer a structured path to affiliate marketing success through Facebook Ads as the primary approach, it certainly has its limitations. There are notable areas that could be improved, particularly when compared to programs like Wealthy Affiliate. In the next section, we’ll look at the pros and cons of Commission Hero to give you a balanced view.

Advantages and Disadvantages

Every program has its strengths and weaknesses, and Commission Hero is no different. To make an informed decision, it’s essential to weigh both sides carefully.

Pros of Commission Hero:

  • Proven System: The strategies taught have worked for some, showing that the system can produce results. Those who can follow instructions closely and have a knack for paid ads might see success.
  • Step-by-Step Guidance: The course is laid out in clear steps, making it easier for users to follow along. For those who appreciate structured learning, this can be beneficial
  • Direct Focus on Facebook Ads: If you’re specifically interested in mastering Facebook advertising, Commission Hero’s targeted approach might be just what you need.

Cons of Commission Hero:

  • High Costs: Beyond the initial purchase, expect ongoing expenses for ads, tools, and possibly more training. This can be a substantial investment, especially for newcomers.
  • Narrow Focus: The heavy emphasis on Facebook ads can be limiting. If the platform changes its policies or your ads don’t perform well, you might find yourself stuck.
  • Limited Community Support: The community aspect isn’t as strong as it could be. Considering the cost, more robust and engaging support would add significant value.
  • Risky for Beginners: With the high cost and focus on paid advertising, it can be a steep learning curve for beginners. There’s a real risk of losing money before seeing any returns.

When comparing Commission Hero to alternatives like Wealthy Affiliate, these cons stand out even more. Here is a comparison of the two programs:

  1. Hi Kyle,

I appreciated your review of Commission Hero. Your breakdown of the tools, training and community aspects is particularly helpful. The cost is indeed significant, especially with the additional upsells and necessary ad expenses, which could be challenging for beginners without a substantial budget.

It’s always interesting to see how these high ticket training platforms compare to Wealthy Affiliate. WA offers a broader range of training and more supportive community at a lower cost. For someone like me, the opportunity to start without a hefty initial investment is very appealing.

    • In this economy, it could be a challenge to get off the ground with these high costs.  Not only are there significant costs to the course and the mentorship elements (expect $1,000’s over time), ad costs within Facebook are very high these days and I would recommend a minimum budget of $1,000 for that as well just to get some tests in place.

People are still spending online, but they a bit more frugal because of economic pressures.  So the “paid ad” first approach, probably isn’t ideal for anyone that is starting out or looking to mitigate risk when getting rolling.

  2. It sounds like it could be a solid option for anyone diving into affiliate marketing, though the high ticket costs are definitely a big consideration. You mentioned some impressive results, but I’m wondering if those results are consistent across different types of products or niches. Also, do you think it’s a good fit for someone just starting out, or is it more geared towards folks with some experience? Thanks for the great insights!

    • Yeah, the content is actually fairly solid, the costs are something that should be consider when starting out though.   The problem with Facebook Ads is that you need a budget (potentially $1,000’s), on top of the course fees ($997) and the masterminds/inner circle groups that are upsold.

There are alternatives out that that are much more cost efficient.  If someone were wanting to go into the Facebook Ads direction, there are also a lot of much lower cost resources available on platforms like Udemy where you can get a thorough course for under $100.
